What Supplements Should I Take?

There are a ton of supplements marketed for general health, but very few of these are worth your money! Here are the top evidenced-based supplements to support general health:

Fish Oil

Unless you eat a lot of fish, you’ll likely benefit from taking an Omega-3 supplement. Although the benefits of fish oil vary from heart health to marginally improving exercise performance, probably the biggest benefit is in lowering inflammation.

Vitamin D3

Many people are Vitamin D deficient. To have your levels tested, check with your physician. If you do decide to supplement Vitamin D, the best form is Vitamin D3, since it’s used more efficiently that Vitamin D2. This supplement should be taken daily with meals or a source of fat to improve its absorption.

Multivitamin

If you’re concerned about overall vitamin and mineral status, you can take a multivitamin to cover any potential gaps in intake.
