If you feel your calories are way off from where they should be, you may have entered the wrong calories when you set up your profile. If that’s true, you’ll need to reach out to our Coaching Team at coaching@avatarnutrition.com so they can reset your calories to an appropriate place manually. Alternatively, you can go to Diet Settings - Edit Calories to restore Avatar’s recommendations to your targets.


However, if your calories are fine, but you want to distribute your macros a bit differently, you can adjust your macros in two ways:

  • Use the Protein Boost in your Diet Settings to edit your protein target. This will add/remove protein to your macros and change your carb target to balance out the calories.
  • Use the Carb-Fat Preference slider in your Diet Settings to change the ratio of carbs to fats. This will adjust the distribution of calories toward carbs (on the High Carb side) or toward fat (on the High Fats side).

Both settings are a matter of preference. The Avatar system takes care of what you’ll need (calories and enough protein to maintain or build muscle) while allowing you the freedom to eat how you want. Take advantage of it!
